Training for Reigning

The message started with exhortation to be comfortable with royalty or with our kingship. The image inside affects the growth outside. What do I believe about myself? Psalm 139 v14-15.

I cannot earn everything e.g. salvation. I can however inherit it. Inheritance prevents generations from working for the same things, thus it speeds up progress.

I should desire to learn and grow according to 1 peter 2 v2. Several people will train and teach me, but the number one coach I have is the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1 v8. When the holy Spirit teaches me, the following happen
- influences my thinking Isaiah 55 v9-, Ephesians 1 v18
- influences my emotions Isaiah 61 v1-, Romans 14 v17. As a leader you cannot be a pessimist or be moody
- affects my physical body Romans 8 v11 e.g. i will eat healthy foods
- develop God's character Hebrews 1 v9
- empowers me for service e.g. Daniel, Joseph and Jesus. Rom 8 v14.

If God gives me power will I do what He wants me to do with it? Exodus 23 v20, Isaiah 63 v9-10 and Ephesians 4 v25.

I need to have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. He is a person and not a thing. He can be grieved.
