A palace is a place of power, privilege, possibilities and probation. It is a place of intrigue, further promotion and destruction.the palce can be a church, work place, business or club.
Before you get to your palace you will go through someonelse's palace. The palace is not the throne, it only prepares you for the throne.
1 Samuel 18 v1-5 we see the steps to the palace highlighted. first is divine favour and gifting, followed by distinguished personal achievements and most importantly discovery by the King.
Palace Regulations: 1. there is only one king at a time. 2.Only the king sits on the throne in his place 3. Every one serves at the pleasure of the King 4. Proximity to the throne does not confer royalty on you.
There are six kinds of people in the palace
1. Seekers: looking for adventure, fun or short-cuts to the top. Have no loyalty.
2. Settlers: looking for security and well-being. They have no achievements.
3. Servers: looking for service and acceptance. Have no other goals.
4. Schemers: looking for power and control. they initiate trouble and divide the kingdom.
5. Students: looking for knowledge and endorsement. leave after learning.
6. Sons: looking for responsibility and spirit.
Important things to do in the Palace
1. Secure the King's throne: bury all personal agendas. Ensure the king lives long. Stay away from aggrieved servants.loyally undertake the Kings errand.
2. Stick to protocol: protect privileged information. stay within ranks and mandate. lay your victories at the feet of the king. wait to be asked before you sit in a place of honour.
3. Strive for Statesmanship: learn language of tact and diplomacy. study and understand the complexity of human nature. build useful alliances and relationships. take on bold and challenging assignments.
4. Sow seeds of destiny: invest in acts that will yeild favourable results in your future. Neer diminish the honour of the king you are serving. Sow seeds of total faithfulness.
Wrong palace attitudes include: arrogance, attacks, apathy, avarice and anger.
There are still other stages before you get to your throne such as wilderness experience, victory over enemies and so on. however, this 3 part series is enough to get you started,
