Am I a leader? leadership is man's greatest need as describe with the sheep and shepherd illustration by Jesus in John 10. As a leader, if my vision is big enough I will need people to support me e.g. Jesus called the 12 disciples to support his work.
To lead I need the following:
- love God and people 1 John 4 v20-21
- be willing to serve Mark 10
- have a vision
- be able to communicate
- be persistent
- be pro active: make things happen
- delegate tasks
According to John C Maxwell in the 21 laws of leadership, there are levels of leadership.
- position: basic.
- permission: leadership approved by followers
- production: cooperation between leader and follower to achieve goals
- People development: followers are trained and allowed to function as leaders
- Person Hoot: leader becomes revered because of success e.g. Nelson Mandela
7 days - will get clearer vision
30 days - will receive good news.
