b. refuse to be satisfied with my present level of knowledge I Corinthians 8 v2
c. run away from people that are passive about growth psalm 1 v1-3; 1 Corinthians 15 v33
d. relate with people that know more than you Proverbs 13 v20; Hebrews 7 v7
e. register to take a course Daniel 1 v5; Esther 2 v12
f. read, read, read 1 Timothy 4 v13; Daniel 9 v2

Motive for Wealth
Why do you want to be wealthy? read 1 Timothy 6 v10
The two principal reasons you should be wealthy are
1. Kingdom expansion: Luke 7 v1-6; Acts 16 v9-15. Use your resources to propagate God's word and support his work
2. Demonstrating compassion to people: Matthew 25 v34-46; Galatians 6 v10. Use your wealth to help people.
When you master money/wealth, you will be more blessed. 1 Timothy 6 v17-19; Matthew 6 v24; Acts 4 v34-35.

A review of the life of Joseph was done using Genesis 41 v37-44. I need to develop myself as John the Baptist did in Luke 1 v80.
God made room for me but I must fill it. Jesus developed his capacity as recorded in Luke 2 v40, 52 and Galatians 4 v1-3.
How do I develop my capacity?

Entering into your wealthy place. Psalm 66 v12
This two Sunday message is presented as one post here for completeness.
The message focused on the foundation of wealth. Deuteronomy 8 v6-10 describes a wealthy place. It is a place of abundance, more than enough, overflow and dominion & dignity.
Is for every Christian? I know it is for me. YES, everyone can have wealth as recorded in 2 Corinthians 8 v9; Exodus 11 v3 and Psalm 105 v37.
To be wealthy requires being in the right position to receive. John 10 v10 staes how to be rightly positioned.
Having the right foundation is important for entering into the wealthy place. Psalm 11 v3 describes 3 things needed: Mindset, Motive and Mastery.
two types of mindset come to play in regards to wealth: Owner or trustee. The owner believes the money is his/her own as shown in Luke 12 v16-21 and 1 Timothy 6 v7. This type of mindset leads to destruction. The trustee mindset believes God owns all things and uses us to distribute his wealth to others. David had a trustee mentality and was able to provide resources for the temple after knowing he would not build the temple as recorded in 1 Chronicles 29 v10-16.
It is important to know why you want to be wealthy. Money is not bad but the love of it leads to evil as stated in 1 Timothy 6 v10. Two important reasons to be wealthy are (1) Kingdom expansion: Luke 7 v1-6 and Acts 16 v9-15. Investments in God's work require funding. Give and God will forget your labour. (2) Demonstrating compassion to people: Matthew 25 v34 -46; Galatians 6 v10. We should give to the less privileged in society and those we can help. God will use it to remember us in the day when we cannot pray Psalm 20.
Money is a good servant but a poor master. We should learn to be master over wealth and not the other way round. 1 Timothy 6 v17-19; Matthew 6 v24 and Acts 4 v34-35.

The Blessings of God
Pastor Tope of House of Praise (RCCG) used Deuteronomy 8 v7-14 and mark 8 v35-41 to illustrate the need to trust God and act on his promises. It may seem that God who has called on us to go to the other side will leave us to destruction. However, in that situation or circumstances Jesus is with us and all he has to do is speak the word and all will be well.
When we start a journey with God, He knows the end. It is the process that we take to get there that may cause anxiety or fear. To overcome this feelings, we need (1) to have Jesus; (2) Speak the word of God to the situation; (3) Act with faith concerning the word of God to the situation; and (4) thank God for what he has done while waiting for the manifestation of his promise.

There shall be no loss
The message from Acts 27 v16 - focused on the pain and tribulations we go through in life. God's word to us in all our varied circumstances is that there shall be no loss. GOD assured Paul in the storm that none of their life's' will be lost even though the ship will be wrecked.
We may have goals that propel us forward in life. Our progress may be slow and difficult but with God we will experience no loss.
The African's progress is slow and difficult because there is a lack of trust that makes cooperation almost impossible to achieve. The church needs to break this trend if there will be progress.

Victory
Bishop George Bloomer used his personal life story to illustrate the power of GOD and motivate us towards acting on our beliefs.
He used Haggai 1 v5 to prophesy that GOD wants us to "consider our ways" and do the work ("gather wood & build") required for success. He also said the people will serve me and not me serving them. I will be debt free in Jesus name.
I bought his book titled "Witchcraft in the Pews." He autographed the book for me and called me smart man for buying the last copy of the book. He came with other materials developed and produced by him. He especially has a Bible with God's word written in red in the old testament. the Bible's focus is on warfare against powers, principalities, wickedness in high places and authorities.
